Shrink Sleeve Labels are made from a plastic film that shrinks when exposed to heat.

This technology ensures that the sleeve adapts perfectly to the shape of your product whether it’s made of plastic, glass, or metal.

Shrink Sleeve Labels are made from a plastic film that shrinks when exposed to heat.

There are many steps in the heat-shrink sleeve application process:

  • The label film (PVC, OPS, PET, or PLA) is treated to ensure ink adherence to the substrate.
  • The roll of labels is printed based on the design that was selected (logo, graphics, and colors).
  • The ends of the labels are joined together with a solvent, creating the tubular shape of the sleeve label.

The heat-shrink sleeve label in its tubular form is then placed over the product.

The final application is film retraction. The application of the sleeve label can be done manually or automatically. Sleeve retraction is done in a hot air tunnel or with steam.
